What is a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment? A Phase I ESA is an investigation of a property’s history and current conditions to identify recognized environmental conditions — past uses, spills, or contamination that could affect the property’s value, use, and buyers financial obligations. Phase I ESAs are commonly required by lenders before real estate transactions close.
When do I need an SPCC Plan? Facilities that store petroleum products above certain threshold quantities are required by federal regulation to have a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan. ECS prepares and updates SPCC Plans for facilities of all sizes.
What is a SWPPP? A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan is required for certain businesses/facilities, based on industry sector codes, to document how stormwater runoff will be managed to prevent pollution. ECS develops SWPPPs and provides ongoing compliance support.
